Prof. Frank Fenesi Mbengo was a man who held the following values of “Pan Africanism, Integrity, Inclusion, Diversity and most of all African Excellence”. A noble Zimbabwean figure, with values of building a Nation and an African Continent. He was a towering figure in Zimbabwe’s history — a scholar, liberation hero, and nation-builder whose life was defined by unwavering service to humanity.
Born in the heart of Shurugwi district, Midlands Province, a soldier, a nation builder to international diplomacy. A man who understood that freedom comes at a price from a very young age. He joined the National Liberation Movement in 1957 and became a Youth Member of the Southern Rhodesia African National Congress (SRANC). When SRANC was banned in 1959, he joined the newly formed National Democratic Party in 1960 (NDP) showing that he was determined to stay the path of changing Zimbabwe. In 1962, he left the country under the NDP to join the Tanganyika African National Union Party School in Dar es Slaam. In 1977, he left the University to participate full-time in the Liberation Struggle.
He dedicated himself through being a member of Zapu (Zimbabwe African People's Union) and Zipra (Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army, the military wing of the Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU) during the Rhodesian Bush War), not only was he willing to put his mind into creating a free Zimbabwe, but he was also willing to die for the country. Whilst in Zipra he then He was a member of the Zimbabwe peoples’ union (ZAPU) which had just joined forces with the Zimbabwe National Union to create a Zimbabwe Patriotic front. In the Patriotic Front, he was appointed Chief Representative in Scandinavian countries namely: Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland.
On returning to Zimbabwe in 1979, he was appointed director of foreign affairs of the patriotic front ZAPU, a member of the Central committee, and an Executive member of ZAPU After the unity conference of 1989 took the position of consultative council member. He became a nation builder wanting to further the plight of the Zimbabwean child through education. In 1981, he was appointed Member of the National Executive of PF-ZAPU as Deputy Research secretary working with T.G Silundika.
He worked as Permanent Secretary with the Natural Resources and Tourism Ministry in Zimbabwe before he left to serve as United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Under UNESCO he assisted independent African Countries redefine themselves in the World stage. The relationship with the University came full circle where he had been educated there and then becoming lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam, where he connected and shaped the thinking of different African liberation movements (Frelimo from Mozambique, ANC and PAC from South Africa, MPLA from Angola) and many more. In the book entitled “Liberation – The Legacy of Nyerere” it acknowledges that his mind shaped a lot of students minds at the University of Dar es Salaam. Not only was he revered for his ability to intellectually interact with a uniting force of knowledge about unity of Africa and the African Child, that he then became instrumental in the drafting of the Unity Accord of the country of Zimbabwe between Zanu and Zapu. In this process he had to interact with Joshua Nkomo the leader of Zapu at the time and Robert Mugabe the President of the country and the leader of Zanu PF. He continued to drive the vision that he had held for so long for Zimbabwe by being the Chairman Clinics Of Hope helps HIV/AIDS-afflicted families, he continued to participate in community work through different community projects.
Education:
His strong understanding that Zimbabwe can only be free by providing education that allows for the freedom of the mind, he walked this through his own story. His education was vast; he attended Vungwi and Highfield primary schools. He then attended Goromonzi Secondary and High School. It is there where he began his political activism against the Rhodesian regime under Ian Smith.
He then went on to study and acquire a Teachers Higher) Certificate followed by a Diploma in Social Science in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania after he was forced to flee the country due to political activism. he acquired a B.A in Education and Political Science at Sofia University in Bulgaria followed by an M.A in Education and Political science. Masters in International Relations in 1968. He acquired a Ph.D. in Political and International Relations in 1970 followed by a Ph.D. in Political Philosophy in 1972. Furthered his post-doctorate studies at the University of London- UK and UNESCO-PARIS France in 1976.

Pink Ribbon provides Mammography with 3D Tomosynthesis. Tomosynthesis uses low dose X-rays to create a three dimensional image of the breast. It is an advanced type of Mammogram that can offer better cancer detection, fewer call backs and greater peace of mind. It is our standard protocol for all screening Mammograms.The centre provides all clinical services from the initial screening Mammogram to any further procedures required to the point of diagnosis. We also have a multi-disciplinary referral base and approach to diagnosis and treatment.
Pink Ribbon Breast Screening is proud to have developed strong relationships with both the public and private health service providers who manage the daily operation of the Screening and Assessment Services.

Pink Ribbon Mining is a woman led black start up mining company. The company has had the opportunity to purchase into a mine in Zimbabwe. The mining rights in Gold and reserves have been prospected and through the relationship with the current team in Zimbawe we will be purchasing a 50% stake in the mining there. The expansion plan is to use the full capabilities in the mining process to convert not only the gold but also the other outputs in order to get the full returns of the mine. The geographic location of the mine is in Gweru, Zimbabwe.

The Foundation is dedicated in improving the quality of life for individuals in South Africa and in the continent of Africa. The Foundation acts in collaboration with the government, the private sector and education institutions to improve the quality of life for the lives of all. From the education of students in Umlazi or Soweto, to the health of a young mother in Zambia, Lusaka, we see the opportunity to change peoples lives.
